Coro Mundi
An extraordinary choir without borders, Coro Mundi brings together passionate voices from around the world to create music that transcends place, opens hearts, and celebrates our shared humanity.
“ambition, depth of emotion, and technical excellence” — The Philadelphia Inquirer

Our Singers
Coro Mundi unites exceptional singers from across the globe - both committed professionals and outstanding amateurs - who travel each year to rehearse and perform together. Members hail from cities including Milan, London, Toronto, San Francisco, Denver, Milwaukee, Chicago, Boston, New York, and Philadelphia. Many also sing with renowned ensembles such as the San Francisco Symphony Chorus, Master Voices of New York City, the Chicago Chorale, New London Singers, and Opera Philadelphia. What draws us together is a deep love of choral music and the joy of creating music with one another.
"The warmth that radiates from this ensemble is palpable and contagious." — Alex Berko, composer

Artistic Vision
Under the direction of Stephen Kushner, a conductor and educator whose distinguished career spans more than four decades, Coro Mundi is grounded in musical excellence and human connection. Our programs are thoughtfully curated to feature the music of living composers, with a special commitment to commissioning new works, while also including beloved masterworks. Through this evolving repertoire, Coro Mundi seeks to illuminate the power of choral music to open hearts and inspire connection, linking Coro Mundi with our audiences and with one another.

Residencies
Coro Mundi’s residencies are where our music making comes alive. Each year, singers travel from across the globe to gather in a new location for a concentrated period of musical immersion and reconnection. Whether under Italian skies, along Iceland’s volcanic horizons, or within the rhythm of coastal and urban landscapes, each residency becomes a new chapter in our unfolding story. These gatherings invite us to be shaped by a place, create music in conversation with it, and offer culminating performances to the communities that welcome us.
